Mondays Just Got a Little Sweeter….
McDonalds is really going all out with their McCafe campaign and tomorrow marks the start of their newest initiative, Mocha Mondays! Visit McDonalds any Monday between now and August 3rd to receive a FREE 8oz hot or iced Mocha! The offer runs from 7am-7pm each Monday at participating locations.
I’m going to take this opportunity to go on a little rant though…if you want to market yourself as America’s newest coffee house (or whatever it is their commercials are saying nowadays), carry SKIM MILK. It’s really not that difficult. Please don’t compare yourself to a coffee house if you don’t carry skim milk, it’s just not right. And it’s not helping improve the stereotype that you’re making America fat! Despite this rant, I will still be at McDonalds every Monday, gooo team freebies!
UPDATE: Yes, they do now carry skim milk!! Last time I went to McDonalds had been a few weeks prior and they always made me buy a small bottle of the kids milk if I wanted some. But hooray for positive changes and delicious mochas!
i completely agree! i’m horrified to think about what kind of milk they use. is it whole? 2%? i cringe at the thought of drinking whole milk. but free is free..i’ll prob give it a go at least once.

FYI–McCafe does offer all beverages with skim milk. The beverages cannot be ordered in 2% milk (only whole), but they are available in skim. In addition to that, there are sugar-free options for some syrups, you can ask for no whipped cream and chocolate drizzle, and you can adjust how many pumps of chocolate they put in!
