Free Jason Mraz Concert
This might be a bit of a stretch because it takes place in San Diego, but I think it’s well worth the 2 hour drive from LA so I decided to include it. Share it with all your SoCal friends!
Jason Mraz is holding a free show at the Cricket Wireless Amphitheater in Chula Vista on Sunday, October 11th. The show is a way of saying thank you to all of Mraz’s Southern California supporters over the last 10 years. Lawn Seats will be FREE, and reserved seats are only $1. There will be NO service charges and tickets will distributed using Ticketmaster’s paperless ticketing method to discourage resale of tickets. Take that scalpers!
And just when you thought this couldn’t get any better, there will be Free Parking for carpools of 3 people or more.
If you’re a super fan, a very limited number of VIP seats will be sold for $75 (plus service charge). These seats will be the very best spots at the amphitheater and the charge will help off-set show costs and maximize proceeds to charity recipients.
Tickets will go on “sale” Saturday, September 26th at 10am PST on Ticketmaster & LiveNation. You need to go to the website and get tickets even if they are free!
Proceeds from the free concert will benefit The Surfrider Foundation, San Diego Youth Services, and VH1′s Save the Music. Representatives from the charities will set up shop at the amphitheater in case anyone wants to donate a few bucks in return for the fabulous concert… which you should considering it’s Jason Mraz and FREE.
Not only is the show free, but it’s being held in the GREATEST venue in SoCal… I love L.A., but for outdoor venues (parking + seats + view + comfort) you CANNOT beat Cricket Wireless.

did you manage to get any tickets? I went on the ticketmaster site at exactly 10AM and didn’t get anything! I was so bummed! I even called them to bitch about it. Apparently there was a glitch in the system, doesn’t surprise me cause ticketmaster sucks!
